About Boulder Valley Health Center (formerly Boulder Valley Women's Health Center)
Founded in 1973, the organization is a local nonprofit reproductive and sexual health clinic that has provided abortion care, family planning, preventive screenings, and community education for decades. In its 50th year (2023) the organization rebranded to Boulder Valley Health Center to reflect a more inclusive identity.
BVHC operates a primary clinic in Boulder and community/teen programming that reaches school districts in the region; services include medication and procedural abortion, contraception, STI testing and treatment, cancer screening, gender-affirming care, and specialized gynecology. The center accepts Title X funding for many preventive services while maintaining separate operations and funding for abortion care.
In the last 2–3 years BVHC has expanded and sustained community education (including teen programming and plans for a Youth Advisory Council), continued to serve patients from states with restricted abortion access, and maintained audited financial and reporting practices to support ongoing clinical operations.

Marked five decades of local service and updated the organization's name and brand to Boulder Valley Health Center in 2023 to reflect a broader, more inclusive mission.
Sustained comprehensive abortion access
Continued to provide medication and procedural abortion care and to serve patients from states with restricted access, maintaining timely appointment availability.
