About The Arc of Aurora

Founded in 1975, The Arc of Aurora is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) chapter that advocates for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the City of Aurora and surrounding areas.

The organization focuses on information and referral, community training and education, individual and systems-change advocacy, and membership-based community supports rather than providing residential or day-program services; it is affiliated with The Arc of Colorado and The Arc of the United States and is supported largely by private donations and allocations from arc Thrift Stores.
