About WESTERN COLORADO UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION
The Western Colorado University Foundation (incorporated 1975) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the primary vehicle for private support of Western Colorado University. The Foundation manages donor funds, endowments, and gift distributions to strengthen student access, academic programs, faculty support, and campus infrastructure.
In recent years the Foundation has continued the multi‑year Elevate Western campaign to expand scholarship support and fund capital priorities, overseen an organizational restructuring of advancement functions in 2023, and sustained significant annual operating and investment activity (including seven-figure annual revenues and multi‑million dollar assets). The Foundation administers hundreds of scholarship and program funds to directly benefit students and academic units.
