About ALTERNATIVE HOMES FOR YOUTH

Alternative Homes for Youth (AHFY) is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit residential treatment provider founded in 1976 that specializes in trauma-informed care for adolescent males. AHFY operates a 16-bed residential facility (two 8-bed units) serving youth with sexually abusive behaviors, substance use challenges, mental health needs, and other criminogenic behaviors, and provides individualized therapeutic and educational programming.

AHFY offers complementary community transition and post‑graduate services (including a 40‑hour/week post‑graduate program and education supports such as diploma/GED and special education services). The organization is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and continues to operate with stable program service delivery into the most recent fiscal years.
