About Lupus Foundation of Colorado, Inc. (Lupus Colorado)
Lupus Colorado is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (IRS tax-exempt since the late 1970s) founded in 1972 that provides education, patient and family support, emergency financial assistance, and state-focused advocacy for people living with lupus.
The organization runs statewide programs including patient assistance (utility/energy support, emergency medical/dental/transportation aid), educational resources (Lupus 101, newly diagnosed materials, provider directory and self-management programming), and community-building events such as the annual Community Walk.
In the last 2–3 years Lupus Colorado has amplified policy advocacy (state and federal engagement), grown partnerships to expand patient resources, and sustained local fundraising and direct-assistance programs that keep the organization focused on serving Coloradans living with lupus.
