Six Points Evaluation and Training, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Gunnison, Colorado, serving adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and people with traumatic brain injury in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties. The organization combines direct services with a social-enterprise thrift store to provide job training, community integration, and program funding.
Founded in the late 1970s and incorporated in 1981, Six Points operates residential supports, day programming, vocational evaluation and job-placement services tailored to individual needs, and has expanded facilities and staff over the last decade to meet growing local demand.
Notable achievements
40th Anniversary (2022)
Celebrated four decades of service to the Gunnison Valley community, marking long-term organizational impact and community support.
New permanent facility (opened 2014)
Completed and opened a purpose-built 9,000 sq. ft. facility in December 2014 to expand program space and services.
Sustainable thrift-store social enterprise
Operates a community thrift store that both trains clients in work skills and generates a key portion of operating revenue to support programs.
