About El Comité de Longmont
Founded in 1980 as a grassroots advocacy organization, El Comité de Longmont is a bilingual, bicultural human services nonprofit that provides advocacy, legal help, education, and outreach for Latino and immigrant residents of Longmont and Boulder County.
El Comité delivers participant-centered services including case management, low-cost legal consultations, document assistance, and adult education (ESL, GED, and citizenship classes), serving several thousand people annually.
In recent years the organization has implemented a 2024–2027 strategic plan to strengthen proactive advocacy, expand communications and participant engagement, and stabilize operations through improved staffing and fundraising.
