THE BLUE BENCH

The Blue Bench is Metro Denver’s comprehensive sexual assault resource center, founded in 1983 to eliminate sexual assault and diminish its impact on individuals, loved ones, and the community. The organization provides trauma-informed, survivor-centered services including a 24/7 crisis hotline, individual and group therapy, case management, hospital accompaniment, post-conviction victim advocacy, and community education and prevention programming; services are offered in English and Spanish and are available to people age 13 and older. In recent years The Blue Bench has continued direct service and prevention work across the Denver metro area (serving multiple counties), reporting in its most recent annual materials that it served 2,295 individuals in the latest fiscal year (with service-level breakdowns including individual therapy, group therapy, case management, post-conviction advocacy, resource navigation, and approximately 1,200 crisis hotline contacts) and noting that the agency has supported hundreds of thousands of survivors, loved ones, and community members since its founding.
