Friends of the Longmont Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in the 1980s to support the Longmont Public Library through fundraising, volunteer labor, and advocacy. It operates a year-round lobby book shop and organizes periodic large book sales to raise funds.
Funds and volunteer efforts from the Friends are used to underwrite the library’s programming, digital and physical materials, Discovery Passes, Chromebooks and Library of Things items, craft take-home kits, and other services that expand access to learning and community engagement.
