About Grand Junction Economic Partnership

GJEP is the official economic development nonprofit for Mesa County (Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade) that provides no-cost business attraction, expansion, and site-selection services to firms considering relocation or growth in the region.

Founded in 1984 and organized as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3), GJEP partners with local governments, workforce and education partners, and private investors to drive primary-job creation and capital investment.

In the last 2–3 years GJEP published annual impact reports showing record economic effects for the region and has hosted regional convenings such as the Western Colorado Economic Summit.

2023 economic impact results

GJEP-supported projects in 2023 produced significant outcomes (including more than 160 new primary jobs and multi‑million-dollar capital investment and projected additional job growth) as summarized in its 2023 Annual Report.

IEDC award for annual report

Recipient of the International Economic Development Council’s Excellence in Economic Development Award (bronze) recognizing its 2023 annual report and outreach.

Record regional impact in 2024

GJEP reported a record total economic impact for the region in 2024, reflecting strong results from attraction and expansion efforts and an increased return on investment.
