About U.S. Amateur Weightlifting Foundation
The U.S. Amateur Weightlifting Foundation (also operating as USA Weightlifting Foundation) is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity organized to support USA Weightlifting and its athletes, coaches, and technical officials. The Foundation raises philanthropic support to fund athlete scholarships, performance programs, coach education, and initiatives that remove barriers to participation.
In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has focused on supporting Team USA through the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle, launching multi-year donor initiatives to prepare for LA 2028, and increasing grant and scholarship support for youth and emerging athletes across the country.

Provided fundraising and athlete support during the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle, contributing to Team USA performances that included multiple Olympic medalists.
Launch of TEAM28
Established TEAM28, a multi-year donor initiative to fund athlete preparation and the Olympic pipeline leading into the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
Paris Strong Gala fundraising
Hosted the Paris Strong Celebration Gala in November 2024 to honor Olympians and raise philanthropic support for athlete programs, generating six-figure support for Foundation initiatives and new donor engagement.
