About La Plata Family Centers Coalition

La Plata Family Centers Coalition (LPFCC) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1984 that provides family support, parent education, emergency assistance, and community-led programs across rural southwest Colorado (La Plata and neighboring counties).

LPFCC operates a multi-site model of direct services and partnerships — including Parents as Teachers home-visiting, Colorado Community Response, family advocacy/case management, an on-site food pantry, children’s clothing closet, and community gardening initiatives — with services designed around a two-generation approach.

Recent organizational activity includes expansion of the Together We Grow / Juntos Crecemos community food project, ongoing holiday toy and emergency-assistance drives that serve hundreds of local children and families, and annual fundraising participation such as Colorado Gives Day; recent public filings indicate annual revenues on the order of high hundreds of thousands of dollars and a small professional staff to operate programs.
