Independence Institute educates and informs citizens, legislators, opinion-makers and the media about individual and economic freedom. Since 1985 the organization conducts policy research, media reporting, training and advocacy to advance limited-government, free-market solutions in Colorado and beyond.

About INDEPENDENCE INSTITUTE

Independence Institute is a Denver-based public policy research organization (founded 1985) that describes itself as an “action tank” focused on individual liberty, economic freedom and journalistic freedom. It houses multiple policy centers—including education, fiscal, energy & environment, constitutional studies and a Second Amendment project—and produces research, commentary, videos, podcasts and a news platform called CompleteColorado.
