About THE GATHERING PLACE: A REFUGE FOR REBUILDING LIVES
The Gathering Place (TGP) is a Denver-based day shelter and service hub that centers women, transgender and non-binary people, and children. It offers immediate basic needs—meals, hygiene, clothing, pantry access—and stable pathways to housing, health care, and economic supports.
TGP operates with a low-barrier, harm-reduction approach and provides wrap-around case management, onsite physical and mental health supports, and a Family Program that supports caregivers and children. Recent years have included leadership transition, operational adaptations to city shelter policy changes, and expanded programming focused on housing navigation and accessibility.

2024 impact metrics
In its 2024 year-in-review TGP reported 46,277 member visits, 43,969 meals served, 45,566 pounds of pantry food distributed, 640 individuals using physical/mental health services, and 78 individuals transitioned into stable housing.
Rodeway non-congregate shelter outcomes
From operation of a 24/7 non-congregate shelter model (Rodeway Inn) TGP reported helping more than 114 guests achieve stable, long-term housing across three years of operation; the City-initiated closure of that shelter was announced in 2023.
