About KEMPE FOUNDATION

The Kempe Foundation is the fundraising, advocacy, and public-awareness arm that supports The Kempe Center and related child-protection work based at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Established in the 1970s in support of Dr. C. Henry Kempe’s pioneering work, the Foundation raises and directs philanthropic resources to prevention, clinical services, research, training, and policy to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect. The Foundation partners with The Kempe Center, Children’s Hospital Colorado, state agencies, and community organizations to expand evidence-based programs (for example SafeCare® Colorado), train professionals across sectors, and advance systems and policy change. Recent annual reports and activities show continued philanthropic investment in statewide program expansion, clinical capacity, and research translation to improve child well-being.
