About Douglas Land Conservancy
Douglas Land Conservancy (DLC) is a nationally accredited 501(c)(3) land trust founded in 1987 and based in Castle Rock, Colorado. DLC works primarily in Douglas County and nearby Front Range counties to acquire and hold conservation easements and steward conserved lands in perpetuity.
DLC has permanently conserved and actively stewards over 28,000 acres and averages protecting roughly 785 acres annually. In recent years DLC has published a 2024–2028 strategic plan, produced annual and impact reports, launched a bequest challenge to grow legacy giving, and continued public engagement on land-use and conservation issues in the region.

National accreditation
Achieved and maintains national land trust accreditation and follows the Land Trust Standards & Practices and stewardship protocols.
Historic grant to Opportunity Fund
Received a significant (historic) grant to the DLC Conservation Opportunity Fund in 2025 to expand capacity for strategic conservation projects.
