About LONGMONT THEATRE COMPANY
Longmont Theatre Company (LTC) is a volunteer-driven community theatre founded from a 1957 fundraising group and incorporated as a tax‑exempt 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 84-1092371). LTC owns and operates the Longmont Performing Arts Center (LPAC) on Main Street and focuses on live theatre, music, dance and classic cinema for local audiences.
In the last 2–3 years LTC has focused on post‑pandemic recovery — resuming seasonal productions, youth and outreach programming, and facility rentals — while navigating governance changes (a membership/board complaint filed March 26, 2024 and a reconstituted board announced effective July 1, 2025). LTC continues to emphasize education, volunteer engagement, and community access to the arts.
Notable achievements
Longstanding community theater
Roots trace to 1957 with continuous community presence; LTC purchased and renovated the former Trojan movie house and established the Longmont Performing Arts Center in 1990.
Pandemic recovery and program resumption
Successfully weathered COVID‑19 closures, rebuilt programming and resumed seasonal productions and outreach between 2021–2023, stabilizing operations after pandemic impacts.
