About Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association
Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association (CSYSA) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth orchestra organization founded in 1980 that provides orchestral training, ensemble performance, and music education for students across the Pikes Peak region.
The Association fields ten ensembles plus beginning-strings sites (the Mozart Strings Project), accepts hundreds of students annually by audition, and presents regional, national, and international performances and tours to broaden student experience and community access to orchestral music.
CSYSA emphasizes outreach and access — offering beginning-string instruction in districts without school string programs, summer camps, leadership training, chamber music, a solo competition, and frequent public concerts that prioritize audiences with limited exposure to live orchestral music.
Notable achievements
