About Family Star, Inc.
Family Star (EIN 84-1114455) is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit early childhood education organization that combines Montessori practice with federally funded Head Start/Early Head Start services to support young children and their families.
Operating two Denver campuses and home-based programming, Family Star offers year-round, full-day care and wraps classroom instruction with health, nutrition, developmental screening, mental-health supports and family services; recent years have included a capital/expansion effort and renewed fundraising events to support a new campus and program growth.

Pioneer Early Head Start pilot
One of the region’s first Early Head Start pilot sites; Family Star has long been recognized for integrating Montessori pedagogy with Head Start service models to support whole‑child and whole‑family outcomes.
Multi‑decade community impact
Operating for more than three decades in northeast Denver, Family Star has sustained year‑round programs that have supported hundreds of children and families across center‑based and home‑based models.
Capital expansion & community fundraising
In recent years Family Star has advanced a campus expansion effort and restarted signature community fundraisers (e.g., the Founder’s Happy Hour and silent auction) to support a new building and program growth.
