White Bison, Inc. is a Native American-operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating and sustaining a grassroots Wellbriety Movement that provides culturally based healing to the next seven generations of Indigenous people.
About WHITE BISON, INC.
White Bison facilitates the Wellbriety Movement by providing culturally grounded recovery curricula, trainings, recovery circles, daily meditations, and technical assistance to Indigenous individuals, families, communities, and treatment programs across the United States and Canada.
The organization develops and certifies Wellbriety curricula (for example: Medicine Wheel & 12 Steps, Mending Broken Hearts, Warrior Down/Recovery Coach, Daughters of Tradition), operates a calendar of in-person and virtual trainings, and supports Wellbriety Certified Treatment Centers to ensure culturally based services are available to Native American and Alaska Native communities.

Established the Wellbriety Movement
Built a nationally recognized movement centered on culturally based recovery (Wellbriety) and the Sacred Hoop, which has been used in ceremonies, trainings, and community journeys to promote healing.
Curriculum development and dissemination
Authored and licensed a suite of Indigenous-centered curricula (Medicine Wheel & 12 Steps, Mending Broken Hearts, Warrior Down, Daughters of Tradition) used by communities and treatment centers to support recovery and prevention.
Recent training and certification expansion (2023–2025)
In the most recent 2–3 years White Bison expanded its calendar of virtual and in-person trainings and continued to certify and list Wellbriety Certified Treatment Centers nationwide, increasing access to culturally based treatment and facilitator training.
