About CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS OF COLORADO
Founded in 1990, CHEC is a Colorado-based nonprofit that supports Christian homeschooling families through training, publications, legislative advocacy, an independent umbrella school option, and community events.
CHEC provides statewide advocacy for homeschool freedoms, offers large annual gatherings and seminars (including the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference and Homeschool Day at the Capitol), and publishes the tri-annual Homeschool Update and state-specific resources.
In recent years (2023–2025) CHEC has continued its event schedule, expanded its umbrella Independent School offering, and maintained sizable program operations serving thousands of families across Colorado and beyond.
