The Adam and Dorothy Miller Lifesafety Education Center, Inc. is a Colorado nonprofit (doing business as South Metro Safety Foundation) that delivers public safety education, trainings and community outreach focused on injury prevention for children, teens, seniors and families.
Founded from a bequest by Adam and Dorothy Miller, the organization incorporated in 1991 and was recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) to sustain lifesafety education programs; it later adopted the South Metro Safety Foundation name following the Parker/South Metro fire agencies merger.
Programs include instructor-led classes (CPR/AED/First Aid, babysitting, kids-home-alone), teen driver crash-avoidance and awareness training, car-seat inspection clinics, AED/Heart-Safe community initiatives, and portable community displays such as the Survivor Car.

Received IRS recognition as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization in 1991 to support long-term lifesafety education.
DBA South Metro Safety Foundation
Began doing business as South Metro Safety Foundation following regional fire agency consolidation, broadening partnership and program reach.
County grant to expand teen driver training
Secured local grant support (award of $15,000 through a Douglas County funding program) to subsidize the 'Save Teen Lives' Teen Crash Avoidance and Driver Awareness offerings and expand access via scholarships.
