About Colorado Foundation for Agriculture (Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom)
Colorado Foundation for Agriculture, operating as Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom (CoAITC), is the state’s lead agricultural literacy organization and a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 84-1177351) that develops and distributes curriculum, classroom materials and outreach to educators throughout Colorado.
CoAITC produces the Colorado Reader and other standards-aligned lessons, provides teacher professional development (including an annual Summer AgriCULTURE Institute), and offers in-person and virtual classroom presentations and school projects; the organization reports statewide reach in the hundreds of thousands of students, teachers, families and community members each year.
Recent organizational activity (last 2–3 years) includes ongoing teacher trainings and outreach, annual Outstanding Teacher Award recipients, participation in national Agriculture in the Classroom events, and fiscal activity reported on its most recent Form 990 (fiscal year ending July 2024).
