About Crested Butte Land Trust
Founded in 1991, the Crested Butte Land Trust (CBLT) emerged from a community-driven initiative to preserve the natural landscapes of Gunnison County, Colorado. Recognizing the region's pristine beauty, local residents established CBLT to ensure the protection of open spaces for future generations.
Today, CBLT manages over 6,000 acres of conserved land, including 17 miles of public trails. The organization focuses on land acquisition, conservation easements, and stewardship programs to maintain the ecological integrity and recreational value of the region.
