About AORN Foundation
The AORN Foundation is the charitable arm of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses that raises and distributes philanthropic resources to expand education, leadership development, research, and patient-safety initiatives for perioperative nursing.
The Foundation is a registered public charity (EIN 84-1193583) that funds academic scholarships, professional development grants, research, and programmatic resources to strengthen perioperative practice and improve surgical outcomes.
In the most recent program year the Foundation reported a significant level of recent activity—including awarding more than 160 academic scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year and providing several hundred professional development and certification grants—demonstrating an active focus on workforce development and patient-safety impact.
