About Children's Literacy Center, Inc.
Children's Literacy Center (CLC) is a Colorado Springs–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, structured one-to-one reading intervention to elementary-aged children using the Peak Reader® curriculum.
CLC began as a Junior League project in the early 1990s and has expanded to operate at multiple community and school sites across Colorado; historically it has served more than 20,800 children and recruits hundreds of volunteers each year.
In recent fiscal reporting (year ending May 2025) CLC reported annual revenues and expenses consistent with a mid-sized education nonprofit and continues to report multi-year service metrics (students served, volunteer hours and tutoring hours) reflecting continued program delivery.

Since the early 1990s CLC has expanded from a single site to multiple community and school locations across Colorado and has served more than 20,800 students cumulatively.
