In partnership with Denver Public Schools, the Foundation raises and manages funds, makes strategic program investments, and serves as a community leader so that all students have the opportunity to succeed (registered 501(c)(3)).
About Denver Public Schools Foundation
DPS Foundation partners with Denver Public Schools to mobilize community resources at scale—raising and directing philanthropic support to students, educators, and families across the district. The Foundation supports classroom resources, educator development, family services, and districtwide program investments.
Recent work includes targeted funds such as the A–Z classroom fund, food security supports, and the 2025 acquisition of the My Spark Denver middle-school enrichment program; in 2023–24 the Foundation directed substantial grant investments to DPS to support priority programs and critical needs.
Notable achievements
My Spark Denver acquisition (2025)
In Summer 2025 the Foundation assumed stewardship of My Spark Denver, a middle-school enrichment funding program designed to give families restricted dollars to choose afterschool and extracurricular activities.
Major grant investments (2023–24)
The Foundation directed substantial grant investments to Denver Public Schools in the 2023–24 year to support priority programs and critical needs across the district.
A–Z Fund classroom impact
The A–Z Fund has provided targeted dollars to classrooms and school projects, reaching tens of thousands of students and supporting more than 100 schools during recent school-year reporting.
