About COLORADO CENTER FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF PATIENT SAFETY

The Colorado Center for the Advancement of Patient Safety (publicly branded as the Center for Patient Safety, CPS) is a not‑for‑profit organization based in Denver that works with healthcare organizations across the care continuum to reduce preventable patient harm. CPS operates a federally recognized Patient Safety Organization (PSO), provides safety culture assessments and training (including EMS‑focused programs), and runs clinical collaboratives and improvement initiatives that help health systems, hospitals, EMS, long‑term care, pharmacies and ambulatory providers identify risks and implement system changes. In recent years CPS has grown its program portfolio and membership, expanding its PSO services and EMS‑focused offerings while continuing to deliver education, culture measurement tools, and collaborative improvement projects to thousands of provider organizations nationwide.
