About CHILDRENS ADVOCACY AND FAMILY RESOURCES INC
Children’s Advocacy & Family Resources, Inc. (d/b/a SungateKids) is a Colorado-based children’s advocacy center founded in 1993 and operating from Greenwood Village/Englewood to serve the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties). The organization provides forensic interviews, family advocacy/case coordination, on-site and referral mental-health services, and prevention education for children and families affected by abuse. SungateKids operates a multidisciplinary team model, partnering with law enforcement, child protective services, medical and mental-health providers, and the District Attorney’s office to keep investigative and support services child-focused and trauma-informed. The center emphasizes no-cost services for children and families and offers prevention curricula for schools and caregivers. In recent years SungateKids has remained an active, donor-facing charity: it continues fundraising through its annual gala and Colorado Gives Day, received national alliance grants, and maintains membership/accreditation within the field’s professional networks while reporting ongoing clinical and prevention programming in its service area.
