About Light For Life Foundation International (Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program®)

Light For Life Foundation International (doing business as the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program®) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded after the death of a local teen in 1994 and focused on youth suicide prevention through simple, scalable tools, education and community-based training.

The organization develops and distributes its Ask 4 Help!® materials (yellow ribbon cards and companion resources), offers multiple evidence-informed gatekeeper and trainer programs for youth and adults, and supports a network of chapters and program sites across the U.S. and internationally.

In recent years the program has expanded virtual delivery of trainings, broadened partnerships with groups such as veterans and border-security organizations, and run public fundraising campaigns (including Colorado Gives Day) to support training, materials distribution and online program development.
