About Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Colorado Springs (DBSA-CS)

DBSA of Colorado Springs is a locally governed, independent chapter of the national Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, founded in 1994 to provide free, peer‑facilitated support for people living with depression, bipolar disorder, and related mood conditions. The chapter operates multiple weekly support groups (including specialty groups such as Later Life and Women‑only), maintains a community resource library, and conducts outreach and education in the Pikes Peak region.

DBSA-CS is organized as a tax‑exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 84-1305365) and has sustained volunteer‑led peer services for decades. In the past 2–3 years the chapter has continued and expanded hybrid/virtual meeting options, participated in local community resource initiatives, and run annual fundraising/awareness activities to maintain free services.
