BELAY ENTERPRISES, INC.

Since 1994 Belay Enterprises has incubated faith-driven social enterprises that provide paid job training, life- and work-skills development, and spiritual support to people overcoming major barriers to employment. Its flagship venture, Bud’s Warehouse, is a home-improvement thrift store created to turn donated building materials into both affordable goods and second-chance jobs.

Belay operates as a nonprofit incubator and venture partner, launching mission-driven businesses (for example: Bud’s Warehouse, Baby Bud’s, Good Neighbor Garage, Purple Door Coffee, New Beginnings Workshop, Freedom Cleaning) that combine enterprise operations with apprenticeship-style training. In recent years the organization has prioritized expanding hands-on trade apprenticeships and a Venture Partners Program to scale opportunities for long-term employment.

Belay is an active 501(c)(3) organization; its most recent audited/IRS reporting period ended September 2024 (Form 990 received by the IRS in May 2025). For FY2024 the organization reported roughly $2.07M in total revenue and maintained multi‑venture operations and community fundraising activities (including participation in Colorado Gives Day campaigns).
