About Visit Denver Foundation (Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau Foundation)
Founded in 1996 and supported by Visit Denver, the Visit Denver Foundation provides scholarships and targeted funding to students pursuing hospitality, tourism and culinary education at accredited Colorado colleges and universities.
The Foundation connects scholarship recipients with industry mentorship and workforce-development opportunities, and historically has directed additional grants to local partners and training programs to strengthen Denver’s hospitality pipeline.
Across more than two decades the Foundation has invested in students and the local hospitality workforce to help sustain Denver’s visitor economy and create career pathways within the region.

Long‑term scholarship impact
Since 2000 the Foundation has awarded nearly $1.8 million in scholarships and supported more than 600 students pursuing hospitality or tourism careers.
25th anniversary scholarship year (2025)
In 2025 the Foundation awarded $120,000 to 35 students and provided additional named scholarship funds and targeted support for culinary students.
Targeted community contributions
The Foundation has funded local education and workforce partners through multi-year and one-time contributions to strengthen hospitality training and student opportunities.
