About Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation (formerly Denver Fisher House Foundation)
The Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds and organizes volunteers to support the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House in Aurora, Colorado. The foundation provides financial and in-kind support for house operations, guest services, furnishings, volunteer-run meals and other needs the VA does not provide.
Founded in the 1990s as the Denver Fisher House Foundation, the organization served the original Denver Fisher House and led community fundraising for the larger Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House (a 16-suite, 32-person capacity facility) that opened on the VA campus in 2020. The foundation continues to fund operational enhancements, guest amenities and capital improvements.

Led community fundraising and contributed major financial support to the construction and opening of the 16-suite Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House on the Aurora VA campus.
Ongoing operational investments (recent years)
In the last few years the foundation has funded house improvements and projects—examples include interior updates, new furnishings and signage, and other targeted repairs and purchases to improve guest experience.
Longstanding regional service
Sustained a multi-decade presence supporting military and veteran families across a multi-state service area, operating continuously since the early 1990s under the Denver/Rocky Mountain Fisher House name.
