Charities Within Reach (operating as Free A Child)

Charities Within Reach is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on long-term educational and welfare support for Hill Tribe children in Chiang Rai and surrounding areas of northern Thailand. The organization was formed from volunteer-led efforts that began in 2008 and formalized as a nonprofit to create and fund stable schooling, housing and vocational pathways for at-risk youth.

Over the past 2–3 years the organization has continued fundraising through annual campaigns and online fundraisers, transitioned some direct-care efforts toward supporting children in their local communities and families, and maintained an active volunteer and board-led governance model. Leadership and board roles have been active in recent years to sustain Promise Home outcomes and scholarship support for students progressing through high school, technical training or university.
