SENSE OF SECURITY
To provide a Sense of Security from the financial hardship caused by a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment for patients in Colorado through sustained, non-medical financial assistance.
About SENSE OF SECURITY
Sense of Security is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (tax-exempt since 2000) that provides direct, non-medical financial assistance to people undergoing breast cancer treatment so they can maintain housing, utilities, transportation and basic needs while focusing on recovery.
The organization operates statewide in Colorado and centers its work on sustained monthly support and one-time emergency grants; since founding it has delivered multi-year grant programs and partners with local recovery-support projects to improve post-surgical recovery and quality of life.
Recent activity (2022–2024) includes continued grant-making to Coloradans in treatment, a programmatic partnership to supply mastectomy recovery boxes, regular grantee spotlights and annual fundraising events that underwrite the grant programs.
