About AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Founded in 1993 and run primarily by community volunteers, AAYLC hosts an annual one-day leadership conference for students in grades 6–12 featuring workshops in leadership, STEM, fine arts, college preparation, entrepreneurship, Black history, and workforce development.
In addition to the conference, AAYLC awards scholarships and grants (Wynn/Marchman program), maintains year‑round programs and communications (quarterly newsletters), and partners with local schools, colleges and community organizations to expand opportunities for youth.
