About Construction Education Foundation of Colorado

Founded in 1999 and organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Construction Education Foundation of Colorado (CEF Colorado) builds workforce pathways into the construction industry through high school career-technical education, industry-aligned training, scholarships and employer partnerships.

CEF Colorado serves as an authorized OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) for the Denver/Region Eight area and operates statewide programs that connect students and jobseekers to apprenticeships, certifications, and employer hiring pipelines. In the last 2–3 years the organization has continued to expand OTIEC course delivery, grow its high-school Construction Careers Now (CCN) partnerships, and sustain scholarship and employer-sponsorship activity to place graduates into construction jobs.

CEF partners directly with industry, K–12 CTE programs, trade associations and employers to provide hands-on training, OSHA safety credentials, career fairs and placement support with the stated goal of substantially increasing the skilled trades workforce in Colorado by 2027.
