About Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR)
Founded in 1998, COLOR is a Latina-led, community-rooted reproductive justice organization based in Denver that advances sexual and reproductive health, leadership development, and civic engagement for Latine individuals and families. The organization operates programs in sexuality education, family planning access, abortion rights advocacy, leadership training, and voter engagement while centering culturally relevant outreach and language access. In the last 2–3 years COLOR has remained active in statewide policy advocacy, Latino civic engagement and voter mobilization, and community education efforts. COLOR participates in statewide coalitions (including the Colorado Latino Policy Agenda), provides testimony on legislation affecting reproductive and sexual health, and continues program delivery and partnership work with foundations and local funders to expand education and care access.

Established Latina-led reproductive justice organization
Since its founding in 1998, COLOR became one of Colorado’s earliest Latina-led organizations focused on reproductive justice, building sustained leadership programs and culturally specific services for Latine communities across the state.
Sustained voter engagement and civic leadership programs
COLOR has led statewide Latina leadership and civic engagement efforts—including Latinas Increasing Political Strength (LIPS) and active participation in Latino Advocacy Day—helping mobilize Latino voters and develop community leaders.
Secured targeted program funding
COLOR has attracted foundation and grant support for community sexual-education and health-access programming (including multi-year and targeted grants to expand comprehensive sexual education and family-planning services).
