About Fort Collins Community Action Network
FCCAN (Fort Collins Community Action Network) is a grassroots coalition organization founded in 2000 (tax‑exempt since December 2001) that supports and houses independent affiliate groups working on social, economic, and environmental justice in Northern Colorado.
FCCAN operates as an affiliate-driven network that runs community programs, organizes advocacy campaigns, and hosts culturally relevant events and healing‑centered activities — recent work includes Outdoor Equity programming (2023 onward), the Queeriosities series (launched 2023), and community healing events in 2024.
Notable achievements
Recipient of Outdoor Equity funding
FCCAN (with Fuerza Latina) received Colorado Parks & Wildlife Outdoor Equity support and ran culturally relevant outdoor/youth programming across 2023 and into 2024, including staffed Natural Trail Leader roles and a seasonally structured program calendar.
Launch of Queeriosities (2023)
In 2023 FCCAN launched Queeriosities in partnership with local partners to create recurring queer‑centered panels, mixers and an art market that uplift local queer makers and organizers.
Ongoing immigrant‑led organizing via Fuerza Latina
Fuerza Latina — an FCCAN affiliate active since 2002 — continues to lead community education, campaigns to protect immigrant rights, and regular workshops focused on legal rights and resource access.
