Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB‑USA) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with under-resourced communities at home and abroad to design and implement sustainable engineering solutions while developing students and professionals as humanitarian engineering leaders. EWB‑USA’s programs combine multi-year, community-driven infrastructure projects (water, sanitation, energy, civil works, structures, and agriculture) with education, safety, and capacity-building for local partners and volunteer chapters. Strategic merger with Engineering World Health (2024)

EWB‑USA integrated Engineering World Health in 2024 to expand technical capacity for healthcare facility infrastructure and biomedical equipment repair, strengthening the organization’s Community Health and healthcare facility offerings.

EWB‑USA has guided and supported more than a thousand community-driven engineering projects across dozens of countries, delivering long-term infrastructure (water, sanitation, energy, bridges and structures) that serves millions of people and builds local capacity.
