About Northglenn Historic Preservation Foundation Inc.
The Northglenn Historic Preservation Foundation is a small local 501(c)(3) organization that fundraises and supports the Northglenn Historic Preservation Commission's work to preserve historic properties in Northglenn, Colorado—most prominently the Stonehocker Farmhouse and surrounding parkland.
The Foundation partners with the City of Northglenn, volunteer groups and local cultural organizations to run public programs, host tours, and stage annual fundraising events that sustain ongoing maintenance and restoration of historic sites.
In recent years (2023–2025) the Foundation has continued event-driven fundraising and community outreach tied to Stonehocker Farmhouse (including annual holiday programming and spring community events) and has supported City preservation initiatives such as local historic surveys and the Deza Estates historic designation work.
Notable achievements
Restoration of Stonehocker Farmhouse
Led and supported the multi-year restoration and ongoing preservation of the 19th-century Stonehocker Farmhouse, the oldest standing brick farmhouse in the area, preserving original features and adapting the site for public programming.
National/State register recognition
Contributed to preservation efforts that resulted in recognition of local historic resources (the Stonehocker Farmhouse was placed on state and national historic registers) and supported the City’s broader National Register work.
Support for recent local preservation work
In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has supported City preservation initiatives and community events tied to recent survey and designation efforts (including activity around the Deza Estates historic designation and citywide preservation planning).
