About COLORADO WATERSHED ASSEMBLY

Colorado Watershed Assembly (CWA) is a statewide nonprofit that connects local watershed groups, agencies, and communities to support healthy rivers and watershed stewardship across Colorado.

CWA runs grant programs (notably the Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund), convenes annual conferences and summits, and provides information and data services (Inflow Network, Colorado Data Sharing Network) to amplify local restoration, monitoring, and policy efforts.

Over the last few years CWA has continued grantmaking and technical/ convening services, advanced data-sharing tools, and hosted trainings and statewide conferences supporting watershed restoration and resilience.

Notable achievements

Longstanding Healthy Rivers Fund stewardship

Administrator of the Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund since its inception, channeling tax-checkoff and other resources to local watershed projects statewide.

Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conference

Consistently produces the statewide conference that convenes practitioners and agencies to share best practices, training, and new science for watershed protection.

Data and communications platforms

Built and maintains the Inflow Network and the Colorado Data Sharing Network to increase data access, funding awareness, and coordination among watershed partners.
