About Eagle Valley Child Care Association
Eagle Valley Child Care Association (EVCCA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates multi-site early care and education programs in Eagle County, Colorado. EVCCA runs Vail Child Care Center, Miller Ranch Child Care Center, and the Minturn Family Enrichment Center and serves infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with a Reggio Emilia–inspired, discovery-based curriculum.
EVCCA emphasizes low teacher-to-child ratios, staff professional development, and family partnership; it accepts state subsidy (CCAP) and operates an income-based tuition assistance/sliding-scale program supported by philanthropic partners to increase affordability for local families.
The association partners with local employers through a Business Partner program (priority waitlist access and other supports) and works with county and community funders to expand licensed capacity for infants and toddlers in the valley.
Notable achievements
Multi-site expansion and sustained infant care
Since forming in 2000, EVCCA opened Vail Child Care Center (2001) and Miller Ranch Child Care Center (2006) and has maintained the only dedicated infant care availability in portions of the valley through those centers.
Reopening and opening of Minturn center (2025)
EVCCA reopened the former Pooh Corner site as the Minturn Family Enrichment Center and launched licensed operations (adding infant/toddler capacity) to restore local full-day care in Minturn.
Sustained community-funded affordability programs
Operates an income-based tuition assistance/sliding-scale program supported by local philanthropy and foundation funding to make high-quality care more affordable for Eagle County families.
