About Hilos Culturales Inc
Hilos Culturales is a Colorado nonprofit (founded 2000) that produces cultural film modules, resource guides, exhibitions and educational materials focused on the living traditions of Indio‑Hispano communities in the Upper Río Grande/San Luis Valley region.
The organization organizes an annual Hilos Summer Institute, presents the Premio Hilos Culturales lifetime‑achievement recognitions for traditional artists, partners with museums and educational institutions for exhibits and book projects, and distributes documentary films and curriculum resources for classroom and community use.
