ARTISTS CREATING TOGETHER INC

Artists Creating Together (ACT) is a Grand Rapids-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers inclusive visual and performing arts programs for people with disabilities across West Michigan. The organization connects specially trained teaching artists with participants in-studio, in schools, in health-and-healing settings, and via a mobile art studio to increase access to creative experiences. Founded as a community program in 1986 and incorporated as an independent nonprofit in 2006, ACT operates from accessible studio space at 1140 Monroe NW and expanded its footprint in recent years to broaden programming and exhibition capacity. In the most recent reporting year ACT reported engaging more than 10,000 individuals across 50+ locations and providing nearly 1,000 direct contact hours of classes supported by hundreds of volunteers and dozens of teaching artists.
