About Involve MN

Involve MN operates outreach kitchens, distributes meals, and connects unsheltered and vulnerable people with community and professional resources across the Twin Cities. The organization was founded in 2018 and focuses on rapid, low-barrier service delivery to reach people where they are. In recent years Involve MN has significantly expanded operations: it opened a commercial kitchen (in partnership with the Women’s Club of Minneapolis) and in October 2024 assumed operations at the former House of Charity location in downtown Minneapolis, running a centralized site that serves multiple meals daily year-round. These expansions increased the organization’s capacity to provide consistent meals and on-site services while strengthening partnerships with shelters, food-rescue networks, and government agencies.

Notable achievements

Commercial kitchen and scale-up

Opened a commercial kitchen (December 2020) that produces and distributes thousands of meals weekly to shelters, drop-in centers, and encampments across the Minneapolis–St. Paul area, greatly expanding food outreach capacity.

Acquisition of centralized downtown site

In October 2024 Involve MN took on the former House of Charity location at 714 Park Avenue in Minneapolis, operating a centralized site that provides three meals a day, 365 days a year and expanded on-site connections to services.

Strong cross-sector partnerships

Developed partnerships with local food-rescue organizations, shelters, faith-based groups, and government agencies to source food, coordinate outreach, and deliver targeted resource and mentoring services to people experiencing homelessness.
