About ONE OCTOBER, INC.
One October, Inc. is a Colorado-registered nonprofit (founded 2019) focused on reducing barriers faced by children entering foster care and the families who take them in. The organization was cofounded by Rebecca Yarros and her husband following their experience fostering and adopting a child.
The charity operates a resource- and donation-driven model: collecting gently used baby equipment, clothing, and start-up supplies; running auctions and fundraisers; and coordinating with local social workers and placement agencies to meet immediate needs when a child is unexpectedly placed.
