About FRENCH AMERICAN SCHOOL OF DENVER

The French American School of Denver (FASDenver) is a tuition-free, public charter elementary school offering a French–English immersion program for Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school was authorized as a Denver Public Schools charter and opened in 2021 to provide accessible, dual-language education that aligns U.S. and French standards.

Since opening, FASDenver has expanded grade offerings year-over-year, established an affiliation with Denver Language School to support middle-school continuation beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, and moved into a Denver Public Schools facility to accommodate growth. The school operates an Annual Fund and other community fundraising activities to cover program costs not provided through standard public school funding.

Notable achievements

Launched as Denver’s tuition-free French immersion charter (2021)

Opened in August 2021 as a public charter to deliver tuition-free French immersion K–grade instruction, establishing Denver’s only tuition-free French-language public elementary program.

Planned expansion to full K–5 program

Grew by adding grade levels each year and enrolled students for the K–5 program for the 2026–2027 school year to serve a broader elementary population.

Middle-school continuation partnership

Established a strategic affiliation with Denver Language School to provide a pathway for FASDenver students to continue French immersion through middle school beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.
