About FOOD CONNECT COLORADO

Food Connect Colorado is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) food pantry and partner agency of Food Bank of the Rockies focused on rescuing surplus/reclaimed food and distributing it in a client-choice market model to residents of Aurora and Montbello.

Since launching in 2020, the organization has run weekly free food markets, grown partnerships with regional food donors and collection programs, and reopened at a new facility on April 6, 2023 to restore and expand its client-choice market operations.

Programming emphasizes dignity and choice for shoppers (no income requirements; residency in designated Aurora zip codes required), while reducing food waste by redirecting edible food from retail and other sources to people who need it.
